Spineyhead or Secretary Blenny?

  1. Is this a Spineyhead or Secretary Blenny? Is there a definitive way to differentiate between the two? Photo was taken on Paradise Reef in Cozumel.

  2. It's something we've wanted to do for a while now, but just havent gotten around to. It'll happen :)

  3. Don't know what Cor is replying to ..

The Image .. I can't tell from internet photos what the difference is between a Spineyhead and a Secretary. I would call it a Secretary Blenny myself. But if there are two different things that look as similar as my google search said they do then it may not be possible to tell from this image.

Cool guys though .. i love these Blennys.

  4. Looks like the original post was edited by the original poster after Cor replied. My guess was that it was a personal - aka non photo - comment.

  5. He was wondering if wetpixel should run a wiki... and then changed it to a question about a secretary blenny.

  6. Thats what I guessed when i read the next post in my Tabs .. was the one about the wiki .. figured something like that had happened.

Was funny though .. you should have seen me rereading the first post like 10 times trying to see if i missed something !

  7. With its white face, green eyes (as opposed to yellow) and fuzzy bits between the eyes, it looks like a Spineyhead to me.

    Cheers,

    Marli
