Kota Kinabalu TO Manado ??? by plane ???

WP`ers , Hello I am a new member . I will be going to Sipadan in late June ( soon ) and want to travel on to Manado . It seems so close yet I haven`t found a lot of info on the internet . I was hoping that the dive destinations and travel crew could help me out . Really don`t want to take a Pelini ship ... but WILL if I have to ... Heheheheheeeee !!! Thanks in advance

The last time I did it, I had to fly BKI/SIN, overnight and then fly SIN/MDC on Silk Air....couldn't find an easier way to do it....sorry! Of course that was over Christmas/New Year's.....but my airline reservation system TODAY isn't pulling anything up except connecting thru SIN....sorry!

Thanks clownfish , Actually from KK or Tawau you can fly many different airlines to Balikpapan and onto Manado . I just dont know if its worth the trouble . I might just bite the bullet ( pay Silk Air $ 500 + RT ) ... go to Manado first then back track to KK and Sipadan . Who knows maybe fly to Sorong and try IJ but that place seems pretty pricey . I can`t understand why there aren`t more LOCAL operations that serve the "pedestrian" diver and not just those who cater to 2K for 7 days / 6 nights 12 dives . Some folks are lucky to have time but not money ... others have money but no time . Go figure !
