Hi Guys,
My girlfriend and I are off to dive for the first time at Tulamben in 3 weeks. Just wondering if anyone can give me some feedback on the water temps we can expect so I can decide on the right wetsuit for both of us.
Cheers Dave

should be around 27-29. Have a great trip, its a fantastic spot
Hi, I was just in Tulamben a couple weeks ago, and would recommend at least a 3mm full suit and consider a hood of some kind. The temp did avg 28, but there were several times when we hit thermoclines with a significant temp drop. BTW, I stayed at Scuba Seraya and thought it was a nice place... ![]()
I was there in early August last year, I was wearing 3mm full suit at the begining and 3 days later, I was wearing a 5mm hoodvest underneath and then then 3mil suite and that's fine. I am a very skinny person and have very low tolerence to cold, so all depends 3, 5 mm would be sufficient. Temp is high 70's, low 80's F.
I agree with the rest of the guys. I have been there in August for the last three years and find that most of my groups have been happy in very good 3mm or a 3mm with vest/hood or old 5mm. As Mike says it will be 26-28ËšC.
My girlfriend - who does not possess my body-mass wore a 5mm throughout, but was fine without a hood. This is on the Liberty, last August.
