  1. Time to start a thread about the SONY HVR-Z7

Shoots in HDV1080/50i-25p, DVCAM, DV SP 576/50i (PAL)

    Detachable lenses.

Here is the housing that Amphibico are building for it.

It will be like the FX1/Z1 Phenom which means it will have a rear viewfinder plus an uptop LCD window which has allowed me to get some wonderful unique angles and shots with the FX1 Phenom over the last couple years. There is no need really to have to use any external monitor as you can just use the cameras own high res LCD. Camera loading in and out or tape changes in the field will be super fast with a nice big door to just swing open. I still to this day have not had my Phenom's control orings serviced.

  3. Hi Deanie..... :P

No advert...just that's the housing I have been using since HDV first came out.

The thread is for all housing manufacturers that are making housings for the Z7 so if ya have some info on a brand load it up.

  4. Maybe you need to get your rings serviced Wags....

It only takes one leak :P and its all over.

Housing looks good though, I do like the window thingy...

  5. Thanks for the info, any time scale on this?

I couldn't find any info on the Amphibico site.

    Cheers,

    Marc ;)

  6. Hey Marc,

Probably a couple of months away ?? but maybe Wags will have a better idea as his Middle name is Amphibico and iwas told its also going to be the names of his first child... ;):):P

By the way did you do some underwater filming for 'Countrylives' last year up Stoney Cove ???

  7. Hi Dean

yeah that was me, I think they used some of your footage as well.

Really liked your pike doc btw, we didn't have time to go looking for them, but i'm certainly no expert as i rarely dive up there.

Are you still diving much at Stoney?

    Cheers,

    Marc ;)

  8. Thought so.. cool.. And thanks mate ;)

I haven't been up to Stoney for a while now, but i do like the place as it suits a purpose and i've got some good mates up there now.. :) I will venture up there soon as I've some more pieces to shoot..
