Perchy snaps

There's a photogenic and quite cooperative shoal of perch which has attracted my attention... I hope you like them.

Hey Tim,

Perch are a fantastic looking fish and extremely inquisitive as you pointed out... Its at this time of year that they are doing the parenting bit and hanging round their eggs or young as they are also protective and territorial.. I love the way they just hang around in groups resting on just about anything... The most I've seen at any one time was at the bottom of the Bus stop in Stoney, there was around 20-25 of the brutes just sat there.. Like they were waiting for the Bus to come along !!!!

Nice shots by the way
