Does anyone actually own/use the S&S TTL converter for the YS 250 pro's.....I know that there is a general post about TTL converters, but it didn't really answer my question.....I'm having problems finding one, and $650 seems pretty expensive....does it work well? One dealer told me that it has actually been discontinued, and a new one will be coming in the Autumn...this seemed odd because the product is very new....Thanks in advance for any help on this
Have you tried divervision.com? They ship from Taiwan but are quite reliable....they can invoice however you want and shipping is reliable via EMS.
I have tried one and it works really well on lots of different Nikon bodies. However, I have read here on Wetpixel about lots of people having long term reliability issues with them.

I hv got a TTL Conv III for my YS90 Duo strobes. It does not work on its maiden trip and i ended shooting manual. I hv done some testing last weeked and found that it was rather emotional; sometimes work, sometimes don't. Additionally, it will only fire when both strobes are swithed on to TTL. It will not fire if only one strobe is swiched on. Netiher will it work if only one strobe is connected. I will be doing more testing this weekend. Perhaps it is not fully compatible with YS90 Duo. Anyone can share their experience?
Mine has worked ok with my YS-110 strobes....but I have only done 35 dives with it so far..... I too have heard of issues with flooding, etc. So far so good for me though.....crossing my fingers...

I m considering the Z240 and the YS110 for the multiple level control. U seems happy with your YS110. Would you recommend it? I m currently using two YS90Duo. Thank you.

I am too. I have tried the ttl converter 250 for nikon with one and two strobes (YS 250) and it works very well in all conditions. I have used it with Nikon D300.

I have a TTL convertor for 250 on my D300 firing YS250s, i have a short delay of .5 seconds before the shutter releases. The delay is not on the D200 or on the D300 using the dual sync cords. Is there a seperate TTL convertor for the D300 using the 250s?

I use the same converter on both D200 and D300 and have no problems or delays. So far it has been reliable for around a year and it is still going on its first battery . I think that some of the people´s problems come from not turning the converter on first (before the strobes and camera) and not turning it off last. The instructions say not doing this could/will break the converter. I am writing this because none of my friends knew about it (maybe is because the sheet is in English but anyway...)...
