SD cards for Nikon D80

2 posts
  1. I have owned a Nikon D80 for some time and just bought an Ikelite Housing to start my transformation to underwater digital photography (Did it with a Nikonos 3 and film several years back and decided to re-start the hobby again)

The manual for the camera says it will use 2 and 4Gb cards.

I am not sure if I bought the camera before 8Gb cards were available and that is why they are not mentioned in the manual. Can they be used in the Nikon D80?

    Thanks

  2. Hey, RS! Yes, the D80 will accept SDHC cards. You are correct that when the camera came out, anything greater than a 4GB SD was almost unheard of. I use an 8GB SDHC made by ATP. I purchased it at Fry's, http://www.frys.com/ .I've had this card for almost a year and no problems...yet. A seriously fast card, both read and write!
