domestic airlines Indonesia (Raja Ampat)

  1. I've booked my international flights to Manado in October this year and also arranged our resort in Raja Ampat. We have only 2 days to get to Sorong before our boat leaves.

Our local contact in Manado is trying to book are flights from Manado to Sorong, but the airlines do not have schedules for this periode yet.

    Is this normal?

    thanks in advance

  2. SOunds pretty normal. And a direct flight may stop in Ternate. I flew Lion air and it was fine, just a bit of a throw back. Merpati jet may be a better way to go. Things can change all the time. At least when I went.

    Cheers

    Todd

  3. Thanks Todd

I just don't want to miss that boat.

    Cheers

  4. Drew and Frogfish (Robert) would be more of the experts in terms of these flights.

  5. Two carriers that I know of fly from Manado to Sorong. These are Lion/Wings Air and Merpati. I know Merpati just canceled all flights from Manado to Sorong. It isn't unusual for them not to have schedules more than 3 months out. That being said, with fuel prices more and more flights are being cancelled. Jakarta is your best bet as a starting point in Indo if you want to "guarantee" flights to Sorong right now.

  6. We arrive in Manado on Friday 01:00 pm, so we have until Sunday to get there.

I hope that not every other guest for MER is going to travel true Jakarta.

So if our flight gets cancelled together with other guests, maybe they’ll wait a little bit longer.

  7. I think we are seeing flight schedules getting cancelled all over the world right now with fuel prices so high. Kona Hawaii is about to experience major schedule reductions. We in this community will surely see increase in inconveniences.

You will not get left behind. I recommend communicating you schedule and any changes with MER.
