Wanted to get opinions on what is the best macro lens to shoot UW. On land, I love my 105mm Nikon - sturdily mounted on a tripod with an array of R1C1 macro flashes. But UW I am finding that the magnification of the 105mm means more camera shake/movement or more (silty/particulate-laden) water between me and the subject - both of which are obviously undesirable.
I shot a bunch of macros a few weeks back off Pulau Redang and got some great (and not so great) shots - par for the course for me! - but as I haven't used a 60mm macro lens before (recently I switched to using my 50mm f1.4 Nikon, which works pretty well as a general purpose lens) I just wondered what preferences people had for favourite macro setups.
You might want to search the archive on this subject - not only has it been done to death but there was some fantastic information that came out.
I doubt that you will generate a similar set of information by posing the question again.

Ok..thanks for the heads up Paul ...will search thru the collected wisdom
The 60mm is the way to go. I dive around the UK mainly in pretty grim viz. a lot of the time and used the 60mm for years, saving the 105 for the occasional 10m+viz sort of day. Currently I use Canon plus a 50mm & 100mm. The drawback you may find with the shorter focal length is that for very close subjects, it can be difficult to get your strobes to light the subject nicely due to the lack of space between your port front and the subject.
It's not the magnification, both 60mm and 105mm give 1:1 at closest focus, but the distance from the subject and the amount of crud between lens and subject. In temperate water the 60mm sits closer to the subject.... unless it is frightened away.
