Sony have released a new beta "HDV reader" (basically the dll which reads HDV m2t files) which appears to fix ongoing problems with black frames, red frames and repeat frames.
They're planning to include this in 8.0c but personally I'm extremely glad the dll is out now as I have been having problems with HDV projects recently.
