this is my first post in the forum, so please bear with my set of basic questions.
i'm going to thailand in mid-late august, and would like to finally make the move and start diving.
i'll be in koh samui (which i've read here is not the best place to go diving) during the first week. afterwards, i'll (most likely) head on to koh tao and mu ko ang thong national park.
i'd like to get into a diving course while on koh samui, and do some diving on the other islands.
can anybody give me first-hand (or second hand) recommendations on diving schools on koh samui? i've sifted through long lists of diving centers, but i'd like to know if somebody can tell that they have done a course there.
is 350 USD really the normal price for a diving course there?
what prices should i expect for gear rental on the other islands (koh tao and islands in mu ko ang thong NP) once i have my diver's license?
