just curious if any of the pro shooters on here apply for working visas when they are on shoot outs - running workshops and on vacation with images shot being taken for financial gain at a later date.

working visas for pro shooters

Seminars tend to be held in places other than that of the home country of the photographer so it depends on the visa regulations of the country visited. I don't think many people apply for a media related visa to host a photo seminar though. Taking photos in a country and benefiting financially from those images in the same country is not normally the case. You pay your pro dues in the country where your company is registered I guess, maybe some of the pro snappers here can chime in.just curious if any of the pro shooters on here apply for working visas when they are on shoot outs - running workshops and on vacation with images shot being taken for financial gain at a later date.I work for Nat Geo on the filming side and it is about a 50/50 split as to whether our projects have filming permits etc.
Cheers,
Mark.
