- current retail price of housing ONLY is A$3100

- A$5399 (complete package price) - A$3100 (current housing retail price) = A$2299

- That means that for only A$2299, you will get a High Definition sony HC7 camera (current retail price 1299 A$) + tripod (A$900), fathom wide angle (A$1100), two video lights (each around A$1000 = $2000 - including arm sets etc...), and for at least A$800 of accessories such as diopters, optional white balance, flat port, normal port, two red filter, complete o-ring kit, and a water alarm.

The Gates HC7/HC9 underwater housing sports a big 2x3 in
(51x76 mm) viewfinder window making the camera LCD easy to
see, even from wide viewing angles. The HC7/HC9 housing is
small and compact, easy for traveling yet producing big HD
images. Gates premium line of distortion-free ports provides the
clearest, sharpest images possible – a no-compromises requisite
for any HD endeavor. Gates legendary reliability is fundamental
to this tiny traveler, ready to capture your finest undersea
images 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Reliability, durability,
dependability – the Gates hallmark for over 35 years. Compatible
  models: Sony HDR-HC7, HC5 and HC9

  18 months transferrable WARRANTY

  Housing used ONLY 50 dives

See picture below, note camera AND wide angle port NOT included

• Extra white balance

• water alarm

For that extra peace of mind, Gates offers an optional moisture detector for nearly all housings. In the rare event that water enters your housing, the detector sets off a shrill warning heard underwater.

Power: 6V or 9V battery, included
  Alarm level: ~100db in air

• standard (dome) port

Gates Standard Ports (sometimes called a dome port) are optically corrected to provide a normalized view of the underwater world. That is, they compensate for distortions or magnifications inherent to the underwater realm so the camera view below water is almost exactly that above water. A standard port is made of optical polycarbonate and allows little or no zoom-through capability.

• flat port (macro port)

Flat Port – these ports contain a single, flat, uncorrected element. The field of view becomes narrowed underwater, subject to the same refraction as a diver looking through a facemask. A Flat Port contains a single optical acrylic element that is forgiving to minor bumps and handling, and it is field replaceable.

• set of diopters

A Flat Port allows full camera zoom capability, and diopters may be used to increase the magnification of a macro subject. +1, +2 and +4 are commonly used, and available from Gates as an accessory kit.

• TWO acrylic red filter

UR Pro Color correction filters are available in ‘blue water’ and ‘green water’ versions. Blue water is standard on all Gates housings, green water optional. Both are available in optical polycarbonate and glass.

When ordering specify the housing model and serial number, green or blue water, and glass or optical polycarbonate.

• Complete O'ring set
