USVH (UnderSea Video Housing)

Hi guys! I'm just new in the underwater video world, any help would be great.

What can you say about the USVH (UnderSea Video Housings)? http://www.usvh.com/H.html

I have a sony trv950 and planning on going HD maybe next year with the A1U. And the USVH has a "miniDV housing" that can fit both. Was just thinking if this is a reliable video housing.

I borrowed a friend's old USVH TRV950 housing to play with the HVR-A1. Warren's housings are pretty reliable but the lanc board may require updating. The A1U has 2 manual buttons that require modification to the housing, the assign button for Manual White Balance and the TeleMacro. The older lanc boards would prevent TeleMacro from being used when plugged in.

Otherwise it should work ok.

It does. However a lot of the weight is on the top so it'll want to twist upside down sometimes. Get a velcro garden hose strap and hook a 1-2 lbs weight to the bottom, that should make it balance easier.

I actually have a USVH mini DV housing for sale. I havent used it for the last couple of years after switching to the Phenom. I'm about to leave on a short trip. I'll return in a week of two. If you are interested you can PM me.
