howdy all.

new dSLR user here (Olympus E-520). previously a P&S shooter and was looking for an upgrade. Now, will be looking to acquire UW gear soon before my next dive trip.

FYI, Eric, I took your workshop at the Boston Sea Rovers, back in 2004!

so just so I know what's in store for me, I need to get (in general terms):

housing

port

tray and arms

strobe

cords

decent bag to carry all of the above

is there anything else I'm missing here. I don't think I can do all of it for under 2K, right?

If you go with the Olympus PT-E05 and a standard flat port PPE-05 for the 14.42mm lens. Combine that with 1 Inon Z240 with a single arm setup you might just do all that for around 2K. Talk to Ryan at Reef Photo and Video...link to the right of this page --->

i am also new to the forum and underwater photography. i made the giant leap from a 35mm P&S to a DSLR. i have many questions and would appreciate any info re: diving in monterey (Ca.) w/ a nikon D80
