Underwater wedding....

  1. Last weekend Luisa and I were coming out of the water when we found some friends that were going to attend an underwater party and asked us if we could take some pics of them... So we joined another wetpixel member, Nandu, changed tanks and went to the wedding :) . The bride was very novice and could not keep the fog out of the mask or the air coming out of her mouth :) you will have to excuse the backscatter but all those without fins where too much!

These are some of the pics :B):

  9. Is this the first time a wedding was done underwater? They look like marrying fishes, I hope the bride will give birth to a mermaid or a merman.

  10. Definitely not the FIRST time - I actually have 2 sets of friends who tied the knot underwater!!

The bravest did it in the Bay of Fundy (think COLD water - 40F) while the guests floated over top in a boat with video link.

The more intelligent couple married in the pool of the dive shop they both worked for - complete with full face masks and comm systems.

  11. Thats awesome. If I ever actually make it to taking the plunge (no pun intended), Its gotta be underwater...I aint wearin no damn Tux!! Only suit I wear is a drysuit or a 3mm

  12. Damn that priest looks badass! :P

  13. Well done, you can start a new business as an underwater wedding photographer :P

    Had to be a blast...

  14. Gotta love those very stylish (and colorful) rings :)

What a heartwarming event for you to have an opportunity to take images of!

I did get to witness one underwater wedding. As it happened, when I was on the boat in Cozumel a couple years ago, two folks on the boat were getting married that day. Underwater, of course! We had an opportunity to see the joyous nuptials. The clothes they wore, though, don't even begin to compare to the clothes worn by this couple :P
