  1. I'm not in the industry or anything, but St. Croix is my home and it is somewhat of a secret to stateside divers. The walls are AWESOME!!! Cascading quickly down to 3000ft. Much more dramatic than Bonaire, but with less abundant fish life. We see hawksbills on almost every dive, blacktips frequently, and occasional dolphins, eagle rays and hammerheads.

The downside is that the wall lies on the north shore, and although it is almost always diveable, the visibility averages around 70 - 80 ft. Not bad at all, often better below 50ft, but not the 100+ of caymans or bonaire. Good enough for great photos, though.

    I'll post pics soon.

If anyone is interested, e-mail me directly kc37@viaccess.net

I've got great connections with the good dive operators, and always looking for a new dive buddy. BTW very few divers in the water compared to other destinations. You may get small skiffs with only 4 people, or shore dive the walls and see noone.

The dive ops are exceptional - dolphin rebreathers and nitrox available.

Its easy to get here - we are a US territory so no customs. One stop flights from Northeast, direct from Miami.

    Let go diving...
