Most of my Hermit Crab shots seem lacking in contrast from the background. Should I try to compose shots with a darker background? Or, should I just look for the rare darker shell that happens to have a crab in it (prety rare in my neck of the woods). Photoshop tips also greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Doug

Try an "S" curves adjustment in Photoshop. That makes the crab "pop" a bit more, and a bit of vignetting also brings out the crab.
