diving in sharm - nabq

  1. i have just purchased a property in nabq. i have dived the southern red sea a few times, but have never dived the north. Forgetting Jacksons, and the other well known sites up there, does anyone know of any sites that are less crowded but worth a dive. also would like opinions on operators.

  2. We just dove Sharm area with Sinai divers and I highly recommend them. We were on one of their live aboards; but they

    have day boats also

  3. I agree with Terry; Sinai Divers is one of the best you can get in Sharm.

They're situated at the Ghazala Beach Hotel next to the Hilton Fayerouz.

They also have an office at the Baron resort (Ras Ghamilla) and at the Hilton Resort in Dahab.

pm me if you want to know more specific information.

Will be diving with them agina in about 2 weeks ;)

  4. You need to PM Veelen (Nikki) who has all the information you'll need about diving quiet shore sites around Nabq and Ras.

The difficulty you may find is obtaining cylinders as regulations state that diving has to be conducted with an authorised guide so it will probably be a waste of time asking a dive centre who will only want to charge you mega $$$ for a private guide for a day...

Try making friends with a filling station and if you live there, get your own cylinders.

cheers for the heads up lads. i will be trying to negotiate a deal with a local dive operator once we have furnished our pad and can spend 5 - 6 weeks a year out there.
