Subal viewfinder GS180

Hi

I've bought a Viewfinder for my Subal housing

does anyone know how to disassemble the original viewfinder

and assemble the "GS 180". Subal didn't bring any manual

There should be a retaining ring on the inside of the housing. Using a ring pliers, remove the retaining ring, and the bracket then push the finder out. Repeat in reverse to put in the GS 180.

The retaining ring for the standard viewfinder on my old 20D housing was just a black plastic washer with one side cut off to make it a split washer. Just push it sideways and will slide off the viewfinder. Once it is off push the viewfinder from the inside of the housig and it will slide out. To install the GS180 push it in from the outside of the housing, put the metal washer on the inside and screw on the circular nut. You'll need a pair of circlip pliers that fit in the two holes on the circular nut to tighten it up.

Previous instructions are good - there are 2 thin "O" rings on the neck. Becareful not to damage them!
