hello i get a blue cast on my pictures will a red filter correct this if so any ideas on the best one to get regards dangerous adrian

Howdy, dangerous adrian, and welcome to Wetpixel!
I have seen the P9, but I don't know anyone using one for U/W photography. One obvious problem is that the built-in flash just isn't powerful enough to illuminate objects very far from the camera. If it is possible to use an external U/W strobe with the P9, by all means do so.
A red filter would only be applicable if you didn't use any strobe at all. Even then, you wouldn't be getting really zingy color and contrast.
I'm fairly sure that some strobe manufacturer must make a strobe that you could use with the P9.
