Hi,
after reading the post of fellow wetpixelmember "shchae" about how he modified his Subal D200 into D300 housing I asked Mike-dive in Germany if he could do the same with my Sealux housing. He told me it was no problem. So I sent him my housing and after 1 week I got my housing back.
Every button funktions with the D300 even the flashcompensation and the M/S button. I have full access to all the D300 buttons with the exception of the AF-on button wich isn't there in the original D200 housing. I don't feel I will miss this button as I haven't used it with my D200.
The original Sealux LCD screen for the D200 is off course too small for the Nikon D300, but you can see immediatly the coloured histogramms ( wich is important to me) and if you look at just a little angle you can see all of the LCD screen.
Mike used the original Backplate and it wasn't nescessary to drill new holes in the housing.
Mike made the ajustment in such a way that I can retrofit the housing back to the original D200 housing in just a few minutes so I could use my backup D200 if I want to.
I will take it underwater next week, but for now I am just glad.
Rob
