Micro-adjustments on Canon MKIII cameras

  1. While I hadn't noticed a problem with any of my other lenses on my 1DsMKIII and 1DMKIII, I had a suspicion my 14mm II was missing the sweetspot. See http://stephenfrink.blogspot.com/2008/09/m...anon-mkiii.html for my experiment with the camera's micro-adjustment custom function.

I've had similar problems with lenses in the past and had to send them to factory repair. Nice to know this is a user-friendly fix, if necessary.

  2. Thanks for posting Steve. I saw that on your blog and was impressed.

    Cheers

  3. I just read the blog. Very interesting, thanks. Apparently this is now available on the 50D also. Looking forward to trying it out.
