My son's GF has just bought an Ike housing for her Canon Ixus - I think she feels a bit left out when we lug all our stuff down to the water
Can anyone tell me what the tray threads are on the Ike #6147.89. Looks around 5mm but probably a US thread, maybe 3/16 UNF but I don't have too many US screws in my garage pots to try. We just want to put an eye bolt in it for a tether, no tray, the buoyancy seems perfect without it.
Failing a specific answer, does anyone know what threads Ike use generically.
For the record, the tray screw is 3/16 (10) UNC but its pretty much made of unobtanium here in the UK these days, especially in stainless, so I'm no further forward.
About time our friends across the water thought about enacting their 1975 Congressional Metric Conversion Act - at least on products that they want to continue exporting to the rest of the world
If you want to send me a drawing of what you want and I will make one.
No charge - just make a donation to your local RNLI if that works for you.

That's very kind of you Paul, thanks very much for the offer.
I'm a design engineer by profession and have an old Colchester lathe in the garage. Was just looking for a quick and dirty fix before we all go to Bonaire tomorrow. Guess its just going to have to be a clip through the wrist strap.
Can't you just go out and get a thread gauge and measure? I got a few of these (along with a bunch of stainless hardware) when I was jury-rigging my old S&S tray setup. I see that time is short, but maybe someone in your area has one.
