Ikelite #6804.1 housing

  1. Hello again :good:

Ok so i have been looking more seriously at the Ikelite #6804.1 housing for my Nikon D60 but some of the sites specify it is for the D40 and D40x? I know it will work with the D60 but will i be unable to use some of the functions on my camera?

As i am still learning to use the camera it wont be a big issue at first, but i dont want to get a few months down the track and find that i can't use some really useful feature of my camera!!

Does anyone have any advice on this? I am hopefully going on a dive trip at the end of October so thats my ETA on buying a housing :P

    Cheers

  2. I'm unable to answer your specific question if any functions of the D60 are unavailable and if so, which functions. If no-one answers, you might want to review the manual (Ikelite 6804.1 Manual) and see if there is anything obvious on the camera that doesn't have an appropriate control on the outside of the housing. Note that the Ikelite site doesn't say any functions are missing.

  3. Thanks a lot! That answered a bunch of my questions in one go! I was curious as to how the manual zoom worked with a housing and that gave me an idea :P
