  1. Hi again!!

Sorry to bombard you all with questions!! Does anyone know whether the ikelite housing for the Nikon D60 comes with a standard lens port for say an 18-35 lens? I just dont know whether i need to get the housing AND a port straight up?

Not having any stockists in australia hurts as i cant have a really good look at the product until/unless i buy one, hence all the questions :offtopic:

Cheers everyone and thanks for all the help thus far!!

  2. This is from my local suppiers website re the D 60, D40, D40X:-

    "#6804.1

    Depth rating: 60m

Interchangeable port system. Be aware that not all Nikon lenses function fully with the D60, D40 and D40x camera. Check with Nikon for full compatability.

Port must be bought separately. ,

(Port choice depends on lens to be used).

    Super-Eye long eye-relief viewfinder optics.

All controls are useable with this housing

    Weighted for near-neutral buoyancy.

housing includes conversion circuitry providing TTL compatibility for DS-series"

I am not sure that many housings come with a port as standard, I suppose this is due the the variety of lenses available etc

    Hope this helps,

    Tristan

  3. If you want to go through a full list with a supplier, why not give Max at Cape Byron Imports a call? I've dealt with him in the past, has always helped me out. Just explain that you're new to it all.

And yes, you'll need a housing and a port, otherwise you'll have a nice big opening on the front of your housing :offtopic:
