A few from Cocos

  1. Hi all,

I just got back from the Fathoms (RIP?) trip to Cocos Island, Costa Rica. We were lucky to have an easy crossing and pretty good weather, actually seeing the sun for a bit on most days. We usually saw at least a few hammerheads every dive

These were all shot with the Tokina 10-17 and a single (borrowed - that's a whole other story!) Sea and Sea strobe. Thanks to the awesome crew of the Undersea Hunter, Jenny at Reef and Rainforest for the trip organization, Jim for loaning me the strobe and Andy our photo pro for all the great tips. A fantastic trip!

  3. Big school of hammers!

  4. Wow, looks like a great trip! When do we get to hear the strobe story? Beautiful images Phil, Congrats. :)

  5. Nice shots! Especially the mating white tips - not something you get to see everyday.

  6. Phil,

    Very jealous - great shots.

  7. Major pelagic action!

I really need to put Cocos on my must dive list...

  8. Great shots, especially the first one of the hammerhead and the whale shark.
