  1. anyone has my problem pls

    gear :

    MDX-D3, D3 , afs-60mm micro, inon z240 type2, inon z240 type3, S&S ttl convertor I, 56101 flat port

    D3 setting :

    focus-mode selector switch to S, metering selector switch to center-weighted, AF area mode switch to dynamic-area AF

    strobe setting :

    all switch to S-ttl and connect to ttl convertor I

    the problem :

    i. It occurred at u/w, the lenes doesn't auto focus when i half press the shutter-release button, but it can shot;

    ii. the focus point at the viewfinder always light on when the problem was occurred;

    iii. the buttons include - (delete, format, playback, menu, thumbnail/playback zoom, protect, info, OK) no respond even pressed

  2. I am not that familiar with the Sea & Sea converter, but the D3 and D2x have a totally different protocol for TTL, that means you cannot use the "usual" converter of the D300, D200, D80 etc. from you description it looks like you have an earlier TTL converter (correct me if i'm wrong) and there would be the problem IMO. i'd check it out with the Sea & Sea peoples or with your dealer to confirm, D3 & D2x cameras are notoriously very picky about the way you setup the strobes.

  3. The MDX-D3 AF-ON/AF-L rocker on the housing can rest on the AF-L button thereby locking the focus unintentionally. Try using that rocker instead of the 1/2 shutter press to grab focus, or manipulate the rocker before 1/2 press of the shutter. If that does work, you may want to shave off a bit of the plastic on the AF-L button on the rocker.

    There was a recall on the early MDX-D3 housings because of an alignment problem which mostly affected the playback button. The solution is a sticker/spacer added to the camera mount.

  4. THX you all, i will try to fix the problem even i'm very sad now

    The problen as you said is cause by AF-L button, so i.........apart the little plastic from the housing to solve this problem. I have no need to press this button u/w this time.
