CS3 installation problems

6 posts
  1. I am installing CS3 on a new PC for the first time. Clearly the installation is incomplete as a dialogue advised that 'some components are missing' and when opening Bridge the dialogue advises 'the application requires a P4, Core 2 duo, celeron, etc...' My PC is running a Core 2 duo! I have removed the first installation and retried with the same result. Has anyone experienced these difficulties and knows of the solution?

    Thanks in advance, Tim

  2. Adobes installation and licensing method of it\'s CS3 products range can be a handful.

Even genuine customers have gone off and used crack codes to get it working on their systems.

It\'s gets installed deep into the system and can be a pain to get rid off if install goes wrong etc.

However just like Nortons have their best piece of software every made....Nortons Software Removal Tool.....so do adobe.

Then try loading it up again.

  3. Thanks for the tips Wagsy. None worked... The 'fix' was CS4 which loaded just fine, is an awesome application an, best of all, FREE!!! :) :) :)

  4. FREE? for 30 days

  5. Nope. Adobe recognised that my fully licensed CS3 would not load and 'fixed' the problem with a free upgrade to CS4 Extended.

  6. Well there you go....told you their installation process is horrible, not even they could fix it.... :)

I was just checking out FLASH CS4 and it does some new cool stuff so it will be on my list I think.
