It's that time of year again. Every year that I've been a member of Wetpixel I've posted some fall season images... so here goes. Hope you enjoy them.

Fantastic Larry - I love the first and the one from VT the most of this series. Please post more!

Really stunning Larry; the same two are my favorites.
Really nice!!
... I had fun this weekend up in Northern CT, too ... and next weekend (weather permitting) should be even better ...
Here's a couple (although mine are HDRs ...):

thanks for the comments guys.
Jeremy, I really like the third one. Did you shoot that as a pano or is it just very wide angle. The second one looks a little too HDRish. The halo around the trees is a dead giveaway

Thanks! There are times (eg new york city at night) where I think the "HDRish" look works, but my goal here was really to produce images like the last that are recognizable as "photographic" images. I'm playing with the technique a lot these days and am learning a lot of good stuff along the way. My basic intention is to turn my 8-10 stop sensor into a 15 stop sensor and not produce a certain "look".
I'm also interested in panoramas, but have yet to produce one I really, really like ... I'll keep trying. I've done a few underwater that worked better than I would have expected, but still fell short of the "would I put it on a wall" test.
The third one (the good one, I agree) was shoot at full-wide on the Nikkor 17-35mm using a FX camera - so "true" rectilinear 17mm perspective.
I "warmed" it up quite a bit ... I think I like it better that way ... here's a slightly different shot using the "as shot" white balance and the same with the "warmer" color balance:

and here's the "warmer" version:

I like the warmer one a lot more, but I'm curious what y'all think.
Makes me wish we had fall.
Very nice.
I look forward to you guys posting these each year. Great stuff.
Alex
