UCLS Handle corrosion

1 posts
  1. I bought a UCLS removable handle recently. The one where you push the button and the handle comes off the base immediately. Its only been in a pool a small amount. The internal bent metal used to give the pushbutton 'spring' seems to be rusting and appears to be carbon steel.

I am concerned what will happen when this gets into salt water.

    Anyone else have this issue?

Or is everyone using the fixed position handle?

(Could be described as...show me yours and I will show you mine.....)

I originally thought the removable handle would be great for removing the strobe and rinsing pieces. But the handle has more 'play' than expected - it appears the hole for the button is too large, allowing the play.

With my second Z-240, I am considering using the fixed handle version.

    What do you all use?

    thanks,

    Dave
