Bahamas shoot Mermaids, models and other sharks

  1. Here are a few shots from my last two weeks at UNEXSO in Grand Bahama. Many thanks to Cristina Zenato at UNEXSO for incredible shark wrangling and safety work, logistics, support and the best smile on the seven seas. It couldn't have happened without her and her wonderful staff.

  2. #1 - wow! Is it hard for the model to swim in that thing?

  3. wow! cool shot!

Logistically, how many people are needed to help with a shoot like this? I.e there must be someone down there waiting with some air for her right?

  4. Cool Matthew; lets see some more!

2 safety divers are staged at either end of her "comfort swim zone" with mask & tank.

There is a monofin built into the tail so Linden (the model) can really move wearing the tail. My hardest job was keeping up with her in the water.

We were wondering what the sharks would think of it all and once they saw her move at a high rate of speed, they gave her a wide berth. However, at the beginning of one dive, a ramora fell in love and tried it's flat-headed best to attach itself to her. A very funny moment (for me). I'll post a pic of that later.

  7. really cool pics, thanks
