  2. The composition of your blue sea star image is absolutely fantastic Scott, and your other images are close runners up! The detail on the monkey shot is fantastic too! Thanks for sharing. Robyn

  3. Evil long-tailed macaque!!! :bottled:

  4. Great stuff! I love the macaque!

  5. Great images, Scott.

Just a little story about the macaques in the Ubud Monkey Sanctuary:

My wife and I were in Ubud in June of this year. We visited the monkey sanctuary and of course read the signs that warned about bringing food into the park. So, we followed directions and did not do so. My wife did carry a unopened water bottle with her into the park. The water bottle did not remain unopened. A female macaque carrying a baby came up to my wife, grabbed the water bottle, unscrewed the top, and began to chug the water right in front of my wife! It kind of had the look of "you are in my neighborhood and you have to pay taxes" sort of scenario. Anyhow, the female macaque finished chugging the water and then passed the bottle onto some youngster macaques that were hanging around. No, they did not return the water bottle to my wife. I can't tell you if they recycled the bottle or not :bottled:

  6. I love all the colors ... I'm just completely obsessed with color these days and they are creating unexpected emotional and intellectual responses - I can't really explain what's happening to me, but it is like some kind of reverse chromesthesia.

... and the DOF on the nudi is just perfect.

  7. thanks you all. Eric, appreciate the Id, I just starting taking photos a few years ago and with my p&s I'm pleased with the results. I want to move up to a DSLR but the $$$$ are keeping me away. Trip or camera? Anyway, I think I'm going for the rebel.

the monkey story is almost exact to what happened to our friend tom, they also took his water bottle!!! It was a cool experience, I loved seeing them swimming, that was awesome.

Robyn and Jeremy, thanks so much for the nice comments and like you Jeremy, I love the colors and I guess that's why I liked the nudi so well, first he was in focus, but I loved the blue in the background and the orange. Scott
