I have for sale a very lightly used Porter Case. This is the PC II Deluxe Camera Divider Case w CART. It was used on one trip and is in great shape. Includes instructions on how to reset the combination lock.
This is the model that opens up into a cart that can carry up to 200# of luggage.
Its listed for $472.00 on the mfg website. Asking $200 OBO plus shipping. Pick-up is OK too from Irvine, CA.
As a testimonial, I have used one of these for years. They are GREAT! Carry on legal, will hall all your heavy dive bags, when folded out, with ease to and from and tick off a few porters at the same time. Will hold housings, strobes, dive coumpter etc. If I didn't already have one I would buy it. You should show it in the cart mode.

Thanks for the testimonial. Yes, I agree totally. I have another case and don't go on any trip without it. But sorry folks, this one is now sold.
I must add that the PCII does not fit in the SizeWise bag check box at airports. It is over the 22x14 and Portercase rounded down the measurements because they thought it was under the 45" rule, it'd be legal for US flights still.
I've been occasionally forced to check the Portercase PCII in at quite a few airports outside the US. Sorry to post this here since it's been discussed on WP but I do think those buying this case for international travel should be aware of the issues.

Drew is absolutely right. However, as the person who just bought Bonnie's case, that doesn't bother me. I have already owned three Porter Cases (wore the first two out, and am still using the third one!). I'm just buying this one because I know I'll eventually want/need it; I pretty much NEVER travel without it! I think the PC is the coolest piece of luggage ever invented. Like Drew, I am occasionally required to gate-check my case, but that's why I carry a little fist-sized nylon bag. If they make me check my PC, I take everything of value (Laptop, lenses, etc.) out and put in the nylon bag, and just check the nearly empty PC!
Congrats Bruce
I would sell you mine but it cracked after 4 mths of use being checked at various airports . It's a nice idea back when heavy hand luggage wasn't a big deal but nowadays, soft backpacks to carry housing/cameras/laptops are almost de rigeur due to airline strictness. Maybe with the fuel prices falling back to sane levels, it'll be actually better but I doubt it.
Hey Drew, thanks for your constructive comments. What was I thinking when I posted this here on Wetpixel? Fortunately there are other Porter Case users like myself who really love these cases and know a good value when they see it. Next time I'll just put it on ebay!

Carrying your cameras in a soft case does not guarantee that you're not going to be forced to check it. I'd much rather have my camera gear in a hard case than in a soft backpack when this happens. Fortunately for me I've traveled all over the world with these cases and have never once been told I could not carry it on, even on tiny little planes.
There are certainly advantages to soft carry-ons. But besides liking the hard case with combination lock, as I see it the real value of the porter case is that it does some things NO soft-sided case, or ANY other carry-on I've ever seen, can do -- serve as a hand truck that allows you to stack ALL your bags (e.g., two or three suitcases/bags as well as your other carry-on) and pull them around airports with one hand!
Then again, different strokes for different folks - nothing is perfect for everybody!
Now......I think I'm done

Bonnie, there is absolutely no problem is posting your classifieds on WP, obviously since you sold it pretty quickly. I just wanted to make sure the issue of the sizewise test box was known for any potential buyers who don't know. I did not mean to undermine your sale.
Thanks for the info on size, I measured mine and it is indeed a hair over. However I too have never been called on it but realize things keep getting tighter. The beauty of the case is the hand cart feature and I will keep using it till I get caught but now will be more aware of possible issue. Sometimes they take it when boarding and place it below but at least I see them doing it.
Cheers, Steve
