Identify fish from Academy of Sciences and Japan

  1. I was at the Academy of Sciences yesterday and got some pictures of some pretty cool looking fish. Unfortunately, the signage there is not very good and does not identify all of the fish in any given tank. Hence I need some help identifying the following fish. Much thanks in advance!

And for extra points, some strange fish captured at the fish market in Tokyo.

  2. The first one is the white bar box fish Anoplocapros lenticularis; the second is the northeast Pacific grunt sculpin Rhampiaocttus richardsoni.

  3. The common name for that last one is "Ribbonfish" but I can't tell you the genus and species. They are pretty commonly used as Kingfish bait down here in TX.

    Cheers
