  1. Hi Folks,

with the water temps getting warmer and warmer here I'm noticing a lot of Nudi action at the

moment. And either I'm just getting better at spotting them or it's a very good year for the Nudi's.

Here's a small selection of what's around at the moment.

Verco's Tambja Tambja verconis, Flinders Pier.

Got this bull by the horns, it had a particularly large head.

Winged Thecacera Thecacera pennigera, Blairgowrie Marina.

I'm really enjoying getting shots of this species at the moment,

last year I found it very scarce but I'm seeing it all the time now.

Hedgepeth's Polycera Polycera hedgpethi, Blairgowrie Marina.

  2. Hey Jim

Love the nudis as always. T. verconis is one of my faves. Where is the winged Theracera fuond under Blairgowrie? Is it right under or off to one side? Looks out in the open sand wise from your shot. And would you believe the only hegpethia I've seen was under Mornignton right after the biggest fattest bullray I have ever seen swam past me (my favourite 30 seconds of underwater video). I've gotta get back into the cold water, looks too inviting not to.

  3. Hi Brad,

I've seen them all around from up on pylons to down on the sand to the side, they do seem to graze on

the brownish Bryozoans see here for a shot of some on their preferred tucker.

    Cheers,

    Jim :)

  4. Gorgeous colours in the first one Jim!

  5. Drooling.... can't wait to visit you minus the great white and box jellyfish encounter. :)

  6. Very nice.

  7. Beautiful Jim! Love the detail on the first one.

The great white's are one of the highlights of diving down South, as long as you're in a cage! And the box jellies are a long way from where these photos were taken.

  8. Whoa!!!!!!!!

    awesome work jim.

when I get back, ill mail you my stackroscope so you can get closer (not that you need to) lol

    I miss blairgowrie :-(

  9. Hi Jim,

Sorry to drag the discussion off topic. What is the range of water temperature at the moment? Thinking of visiting Victoria this time next year, so it seems a good time to ask.

    Alex

  10. Thanks for the comments folks!

Ryan- Jeff was referring to a post I'd made on his thread here

That would be great Cal, I was thinking of asking you before you left to buy them off you.

Alex- Take a look at this site it has details of the local area, note though they are surface temps.

Be sure to get in touch when the time comes, I'd be happy to show you some sites.

    Cheers,

    Jim :)
