Dive Operators

  1. Going on a cruise next week with stops in Roatan, Belize and Cozumel. I have Cozumel covered but was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for operators in Roatan and Belize.

    Thanks,

    Gary

  2. When we stayed at Fantasy Island on Roatan they did cruse ship divers and they are great. If I had a short time I would do the shark dive and I can not tell you the operator but it is two french brothers. First class dive operation. Just Google it and it will be a great time. My family has done it twice a few years apart. DON"T MISS IT.

The shark dive op is Wailuka, and the brothers are Italian. The dive site is Cara a Cara. Fun stuff.

CoCo View also takes cruise ship divers. I can highly recommend them, having been there 6 times.

But, both Fantasy Island and CCV are quite a way from the docks, so if your stop is short, you might want to look at one of the other ops towards the other end of the island. If it is a long stop, then you're ok.

  5. Check out Native Sons in Roatan's West End.

We did four or five days of diving with them, and liked the boats, the crew, and the sites. Did a full-day trip to Mary's Place and that far east end of Roatan. They sometimes go through the mangroves to cross the eastern end of the island. Very cool.

  6. I just spoke to a friend who owns a house on Roatan. He also recommended Native Sons.

    Have a great trip.
