Just back from Raja Ampat, on a loop trip out of Sorong with Deb Fugitt and Tony Mattheis. Great photography trip. Was able to immerse myself in wide angle, which was my goal.
There is also a slideshow (exe format) for PCs, and a slideshow (Flash/URL) for Macs (an alternative platforms ). About 26Mb, 4 minutes running time.
Here's one teaser:
Enjoy!
Linda
The shot posted is ridiculously cool! Awesome gallery. Thanks for sharing and making me want to go back asap!
Phil
Very nice. I'm a fan of your photography and you didn't disappoint. BTW, I couldn't get to the selects gallery
Thanks Phil and Larry!
Larry, I see now that the Simpleviewer flash gallery isn't loading on IE 6 for some reason. Is that the browser you are using? I'll debug it tonight when I get home. It seems to work on Firefox, Safari, and Chrome, and I haven't tried it on IE7.
Also would appreciate knowing if the photos seem dark. I process them on a Mac that I keep fairly bright, but would be good to know if the photos are too dark for the general populace. They look okay on my PCs at work, but would like to get feedback.
thanks,
Linda
I think have fixed the selects gallery now, as at least it loads in IE6.
Please let me know if any of you see more anomalies.
Thanks!
Linda
I have IE 7 but it seems good now. The exposures look fine...not too dark on my PC.
Great. That pier was awsome eh
Glad it now works, Larry. And thank you for the great compliment above! I was so bent on getting the slideshow bug fixed that I neglected to really mention it earlier...
Victor, thanks. That pier was indeed a wonderful place. We only spent one afternoon there, but I could have spent lots more time. It had good macro too, which I didn't get a chance to exlore. I guess that's why we go back to places, yes? Although if the light were to be as good as when we were there, it would be tough to get me away from wide angle! (something I never thought I'd say....)
That and Kaleidoscope were my two favorite wide angle places.
Linda
Linda,
Gorgeous images...as to be expected!
Stu
I agree on kaleidoscope, last year there were huge schools of glassfish on the reefs there, less this year. I blame raja ampat for turning me into a wide angle guy. I looked up and loved it
Beautiful, beautiful images Linda! I really enjoyed these!
I need to make it to Raja in the near future too...
Goodness gracious me Linda, I've just spent the last 3/4s of an hour going through your galleries and was enthralled by the things
you have encountered and the way that you've captured images of them. Thank you for sharing! I was especially enamored with
the Lembeh gallery, there and Raja Ampat are right up there on my list of places to go and dive.
Cheers,
Jim.
Absolutely beautiful - you have a nice selection, and a few truly special shots. The sun rays through the pier is a gorgeous picture.
There are a few places I can't talk my husband into going - among them are Lembeh and Raja Ampat - must say, I am not sure why on the latter!! I am just waiting for the right opportunity to go solo - and after seeing your pics, it's moved up on the priority list!
Allison
Hi Linda, beautiful work but I've come to expect that from youl...;-)
I'm not sure what kind of fish those are, but the 2nd to last shot in the Selects gallery is very cool.
And it does seem some of the shots are a little dark but it may be my old screen. Just fyi.
Rand
It looks like a half-beak and reflection - awesome shot.
James
I agree - the halfbeak(s) are beautiful! Linda, are those 2 different fish, or just a reflection?
scott
Thanks, guys!
Yes, James got it right. It's a half beak and its reflection. A clue is that there is the lightest wobble in the top beak, which is a minor ripple in the water.
Hopefully it's not less appealing as a reflection shot rather than a two fish shot...
