  1. Hello ;)

I don't get on here as often as I'd like, I put my first version up here last April, since then I have picked up HTML and photoshop a bit more, and also been on another couple of trips!

Feel free to have a look at the new version of http://www.scubysnaps.co.uk

I'm only half way thru the HTML book and only took me 3 weeks, I'm amazed its that easy!!

    Cheers

  2. Hi Woody,

You have made some real improvements since we saw your site last. Congrats. I'm impressed that you think three weeks of playing with the HTML book is easy. I got bored and went to Flickr after only two weeks of trying to build my own site. So please take my comments with that in mind. I couldn't do what you have done and I can only comment as an interested spectator.

First a couple of nits. Take a look at how your displaying text in a couple of places; The blue buttons text looks broken and out of place with the rest of your site. The title block with "Underwater Photography" isn't high enough to display the font you selected, the bottom of the g and y are cutoff.

The linking to you photos is a little funky. If I go to look at the Similans 08 images, for example, I have to come all the way back out then select back in to see more images, if that makes any sense. Some basic linking improvements you could make there.

I've got to tell you too that the Blah, Blah Blah at the bottom really kinda turns me off. Says to me your not serious about protecting your images. Some might percieve that you don't care about your stuff and if you don't care why should anybody else? I appreciate the lighthearted kinda funky look your going for. It's a nice change from the norm but to pull it off well isn't easy. It's an interesting balancing act from a design standpoint.

Cool dog by the way. :) Thanks for sharing.

    Have fun,

    Steve
