Strobes

  1. Hi, I'm a beginner underwater photographer and i just got a sealife dc800. I am now in need of a strobe, I am looking at the ikelite Ai 100, and, being a new photographer, was wondering if that strobe would work for the camera. I was also wondering if there was a better strobe for this camera, Thanks. :)

PS, if there is any pictures someone took with this camera, i would love it if you could post them, thanks

Why not get the Sealife digital strobe that goes with the camera? I had a Sealife DC500 and strobe ( the old, non-adjustable one) and got many good pictures. The newer Sealife digital strobe is adjustable and works well with the camera. Make sure that you get new one, SL961. The older digital strobe is SL960D. It's OK if you can get a good deal on it.

  3. The Ikelite 100/Ai won't work with that camera - don't buy it. The first Ikelite strobe that will work w/ that camera is the DS50.
