I'm new to underwater photography, though it has been a life-long dream. I just recently completed the U/W/ Photo PADI course and am now looking to continue my learning. I took the course abroad, but am now back on the East Coast of the US. Does anyone have any recommendations of where and with whom to take a course in Florida? I am trying to take another class ASAP, and Florida seems like the logical choice this time of year.
If it helps, I am a professional photographer on land, and in my course I used a Sea & Sea underwater housing and Canon D40 with both macro and wide-angle lenses.
Any suggestions would be most appreciated!
Thank you!
Tom Stack runs a great course and will also do custom ones.
Stephen Frink is also great but less available than Tom.
You may also want to consider Cathy Church in Grand Cayman (I know it is not South Florida, but easy to get to)

Thanks so much! I'm sure with those suggestions I should be able to find what I need!
I'd like to add that Mike Haber and Mike Mesgleski (known to most as "The Mikes") put on terrific photo courses. They're generally taught aboard the Aggressor liveaboards, but you might want to give them a ring. (305-234-0903 or http://www.jimchurchphoto.com/index.html)
Best of luck to you,

I just came back from Key Largo, 3 days there and everyday pass by Steve Flink's building but it's never open unfortunately.
Checkout the South Florida UPS, we meet in the north Miami area once a month and our meetings include a lot of information you will use. We also teach U/W photo classes as members require. http://sfups.org/
