Any comments about this ribbon eel?

  1. I was kind of surprised that a few people liked a photo of an anemone fish I posted. I always thought it was a so-so shot. I have ambivalent feelings about this shot of a ribbon eel. It was the best one of trip to Indonesia in October. Maybe it's better than I think it is?

  2. Hi Ellen! I think it's a great picture. Just today I marveled a picture of a ribbon eel in M.Edges UW Photographer - I really like those fellows ^_^

At the bottom edge that little blur, and negative space could use... umm.. something?! Then again the brown just higlights the eel.

Anyways - I like it

  3. I wish I had taken it.

It does seem a little blurry at the bottom edge. Depth of field??

  4. great shot Ellen...for me, just a little bit darker....Scott

  5. very tough subjects those ribbon eels. Getting the whole thing in focus is very nicely done!

The background is a little too busy for me though, not much choice though in this circumstance as you cant move the little fella!

    Definitely a keeper
