Ikelite strobe arms - standard vs. ball joint

  1. I've just gotten my first strobe - a DS-51 for my G9 and Ikelite housing. I really love macro, so the DS-51 will do well for now, but the package I got came with the standard strobe arms. I was planning on the ball joint arms. I'm not sure if I should keep the standard arms or trade up for the ball joint arm pakage. Does anyone out there have any practical experience with either arm set up?
