  1. Hi guys!

If anyone has an extra macro lens for 67mm threaded port (I need it for Ikelite G9 housing) or interested of selling one, be sure to let me know!

I've heared that Inon UCL-165M67 Close-up Lens is good, but all other offer's welcomed as well.

    Cheers,

You don't need to go the Inon route, just go down to your local camera store and get some add-on filter/lenses for a 67 mm lens. Cheap and work quite well, you can stack them too.

Stacking regular macro lenses isn't as effective as the Inon lens - there is a sealed airspace in the Inon lens to help with the optics.

  5. Scubamoose, I use dual Inon UCL-165M67 lenses with my G9/Patima setup, and I've been able to zoom in on some extremely small critters - I love it! The only drawback is that the depth of field really suffers. Here's a couple of shots of a two very small blennies I captured a few months ago in South Florida, that should give you an idea of the magnification you can achieve with your G9 and the Inon close-up lenses.

My apologies for hijacking your thread and veering from its original purpose!

  6. Hi guys!

Thank for the info! I have allso heared / read that regular macro lenses are not so effective as dedicated UW lenses.

Tough I haven't got any proof of that, I still prefer to go for the Inon - just to be sure. But if anyone knows more about this - be kind enough to post or PM me.

I just saw some guy from Norway is selling one - quite close to where I live, so maybe I PM him.
