fisheye fix led fault

  1. Hi All

I have just been through the whole process of researching and finally buying a led focus light. i finally decided on the fisheye fix 48 led light , which i purchased through Yuzo at uwdigitalcameras in Japan.

so i received the light today took it home and inserted the batteries (polarity correct) and tested the light out of the water . after a minute or so of use i heard a soft POP from the light then the light went off and the leak light came on < so i opened the the back of the light and smoke came out with a strong smell of melting plastic.

My question is has anyone else had similar problems with this light , i was thinking perhaps i selected the wrong type of video light and i should select another type of light ??

im confident that Yuzo will take care of me with warranty , but im very disappointed that my fisheye light has died after only a few mutinies use.

    thanks

    Matt

  2. Fantasea sells the same light. There was a bad batch of these that had this problem early in the production run. They changed the parts now so that it can't happen. This must of been old stock or something, as this was about 2 years ago.
