G9 vs G10 vs DMC-TZ5

  1. Hello everybody.

     

    I`m a freediver whose looking for handy camera to make some pictures underwater.

    I don`t have a time to carry with me all strobes etc. so i was thinking about

    Canon G9 and G10 in canon housing.

    I would go with G10, but i`m missing "time lapse" function, and 1024x768 resolution in video mode, if You compare to G9. Althought G10 hase a wide angle and 460k colours on lcd which gives you nice review.

    They both got RAWs.

     

    And then I`ve seen Panasonic DMC-TZ5, wide angle, 460k colours on lcd, nice zoom, AMAZING HD video mode, but lack of RAW format.

     

    What do You think, which one is better for underwater photos? how this panasonic is doing underwater, i know G-series is nice, but I can`t make up my mind.

  2. The G9 is really nice, and if you slap it in an Ikelite housing with the Inon 100 degree wideangle converter lens, you've got a great camera for freediving.
