I completely flooded my Ikelite housing and Canon 20D. Luckily I had insurance through DAN. After filing a claim I was advised I need to send them:
1. A copy of repair estimates/invoices verifying whether or not the equipment is repairable.
2. If the equipment is not repairable, a copy of replacement estimates/quotes on dealer letterhead or from an internet website.
The Ikelite housing is easy, I know I can simply mail it back to Ikelite. Any ideas/recommendations for the 20D? I bought everything from B&H.
Any and all help is appreciated.

You can send it to a Canon service center. If you simply state that it was fully immersed in sea water they'll likely report that it's not repairable.
DAN is likely looking for that statement outlining the diagnosis.
When I flooded my camera DAN would not take my word for it that it was beyond repair. They wanted something on official letterhead.
I just took my busted up camera in to the nearest camera shop and had them write on their letterhead "Camera Damaged Beyond Economic Repair. Replacement Cost: {MRSP} for {current model} camera" which DAN happily accepted.
Thanks for the help!

BTW ... the DAN insurance is through Fireman's Fund, and it is their protocol that requires something official stating a camera was damaged beyond repair. I had a flood 2 years ago during one of my photo classes here in Key Largo. Flooded on Wednesday, papers submitted by e-mail on Thursday, call from Fireman's Fund representative in Omaha on Saturday to my home to tell me all was approved, and check for full insured value received Wednesday of the next week. 7 days from flood to full reimbursement. Pretty amazing, really.
I have had two camera floods. In both cases, as acroporas suggested, I just took the camera to a local camera and had them write a repair invoice on letterhead for me, and that sufficed. Ordered my replacement camera while I was there once.
