Entry level fisheye DSLR?

  1. What would you recommend for a basic (cheapest) proven setups to house a basic SLR with the Tokina fisheye zoom (10-17) w dome?

    I have previously been a Cannon-system follower, but for DSLR it is a fresh start so I am open to suggestions.

    Cheers

  2. HI,

    This is one of those questions, do you want to go for new or second hand?? You can pick up more for your money second hand

    with people upgrading all of the time. What kind of housing are you looking for??? Also ports & strobes, what I would try to do is

    find as many different housings as possible & have a play with them to see which you prefer & go from their. Also it may be possible

    to get new housings but older models like the D200/D80 for good prices from dealers.

    How about beeing more specific. Beeing a previous Canon follower let's assume D450 with 10-17 Tokina.

    So what are commonly used alternatives here ?

    * Ikelite house + 6" dome

    * Ikelite + 8" dome (accessories more than twice as expensive as the 6" alternative, but is it worth it in IQ?)

    * Sea&sea RDX450 + 6CX 6" dome (dome seems more expensive than the Ikelite set-up, any benefits over Ikelite?)

    Another question, can I get TTL working with these and my Sea&sea YS110 strobe?

    Cheers
