hey guys,
new to the forum, but have already learned so much. this is a great place for a beginner shooter like myself. i have a Sony TRV900 with a Navigator900 housing that i use to record environmental monitoring video for the company i work for. i'm having issues with the video washing out past 30'. i have never set white balance on this camera before, but i believe it has to help. my question is what settings do i use to set white balance? i have an orange filter (mounted inside the housing) and lights i use intermittently throughout the dive as needed. do i set the white balance with the filter on and lights off? with the filter off and lights on? both off? does it matter? once i set the balance, does it matter if i turn the lights/filter on or off throughout the dive? water depth b/w 30' and 40' and usually has a little murk to it...maybe 15-20' visibility. thanks in advance for the help.
