SeaTool for Nikon D90 ?

16 posts
  1. According to this page http://seatool.net/list/index.html

There may be a Nikon D90 housing coming soon ?

    Does anyone know when ?

If SeaTool going to make a housing for the D90, I may skip D300, what do you all think ? :D

  2. Hi,

I actually lost some hope recently. The news for the D90 housing has been up on their site for a long time and there was no mention of the Pentex housing. Then out of the blue the cad model of the Pentax housing got posted and no update on the D90:(

I am in the same boat. I have the D300, but maybe from cost and weight point of view the D90 will make more sense for me uw.

  3. Yes, after looking more carefully on the D300 vs D90, I think D90 will be sufficient. In fact I probably shouldn't have sell the D80 set up but that's history :-)

The good news is I believe Nexus has already made a housing for D90, probably just minor modification of their D80 housing. So I think I will go get a D90 soon.

Wait until summer before getting the housing.

    Cheers !

  9. Sam,

Thanks for the translation. One more favor please. Is the D80 to D90 modification just changing the rear plexiglass on the D80 housing not a new back? That is, do you end up with a D90 housing that will not control a D80.

  10. Never used or toughed it, but must say from a aesthetical point of view I really like the finish on the Aquatica housing!

Thanks Sam, do you know where I can see a picture of the MLF ? I am thinking if it's necessary to have MLF or T2F is just fine ?

    Hi,

I could not find in web & I will take & post picture of one I have later.

Multi finder model : For macro photographing, using with 1.2x magnifier lens and you can see magnified center image and it makes easy to focusing.

For wide angle using with the viewfinder reducer lens (x0.7), then you can see full flame image to the edge of corners.

The housing body need to be shipped to Anthis as it requires adjusting.

Only the back window will be changed and the serial number 105144-105424 are possible to update.

User need to contact Anthis for booking. Once housing is converted to D90, D80 cannot be used.

  14. The Seatool site has been updated again and from the looks of it the D90 housing has moved even further down the pecking order:( I say so because in all the time if have been following their site, housings has been made first working down the list from left to right and top to bottom. If its true I wonder why they and Sea&Sea is giving the housing for this camera so little priority.

  15. With no Sea&Sea RDX housing seemingly being created, will the Nexus be the only Nikon housing that will allow optical flash/ fiberoptic triggering?
